Werewolf: The Apocalypse – RETALIATION is an RPG/Dungeon Crawler set in the World of Darkness universe, developed by Flyos Games. Designed for 1 to 4 players, the game features customizable characters, branching immersive scenarios, intense turn-based combat, and gripping investigations.
I joined the project mid-development and was responsible for defining the combat dynamics, ensuring proper balancing, and integrating them into specific scenarios. I also had the opportunity to experience working on a licensed game and to navigate the creative constraints that come with such a framework.

This project significantly enhanced my Combat Design skills through the creation of numerous combat cards, weapons, effects, and enemies.
It also proved to be a real challenge in terms of balancing, as each scenario is playable by 1 to 4 players, and each player can embody a completely different character depending on their customization choices.
The combat dynamic in Werewolf: The Apocalypse – RETALIATION is shaped by the characters you play as — werewolves. Each player can shift between three forms, each with its own abilities, allowing for strategic and dynamic combat.
-
Homid (Human): The player's base form, capable of healing, ranged attacks, and spirit summoning. This form is primarily focused on support roles.
-
Lupus (Wolf): The most mobile form, capable of poisoning, bleeding, and sneaky attacks. It emphasizes weakening and executing enemies.
-
Crinos (Werewolf): The player’s war form — tough, imposing, and brutal. It leans toward a tank role, dealing heavy area-of-effect damage.
