The Otherside is a cooperative strategy card game where the goal is to overcome the 10 trials set by the Gods.

To succeed, you must influence other players' energy dials using cards, tipping them toward Shadow or Light.

This project was my first real collaborative endeavor and helped me develop my teamwork skills. It also challenged my abilities as a Game Designer, especially in balancing, through a full campaign.

Energy System: Each player has a dial representing their energy state. At the start of the game, all players begin in the Balanced state, positioned at "0" on the dial. In this state, a player can play either Light or Shadow cards. During the game, players use Light or Shadow cards with values from 1 to 4 to influence other players’ dials. Light cards move the dial to the right, while Shadow cards move it to the left. When a player’s dial is on the left side, they are In the Shadow and can only play Shadow cards. Conversely, when on the right side, they are In the Light and can only play Light cards. If a player goes beyond the dial’s limit, they become Overcharged and return to the Balanced state—but suffer permanent penalties for the rest of the game.
